About This Game Earth is doomed and our only hope is getting a survivable habitat up in space using whatever resources are scattered in orbit. You’re left with debris, junk, and other oddities to use for humanity’s survival. Build, upgrade, and control the Habitats that you create as you see fit. The main Campaign will take you through narrative-driven missions while Sandbox mode will give you a blank slate and pure creative control to build and explore at your leisure.Leading your team of engineers, you will have to build and fly your space stations in a zero gravity setting. Learn to scavenge and thrive with whatever you find floating around in space, or go on the hunt to take what you need from other factions trying to survive. In the event of a threat, get creative and turn your space stations into deadly weapons using pieces of debris you pick up such as rockets, lasers and particle accelerators, to fight with. Crisis is guaranteed; your only chance of survival is to get creative and to be decisive in the face of disaster.FeaturesYou are in control: build a fleet of Habitats or combine them all into one massive Habitat.Explore procedurally generated space around the Earth, the Moon, and MarsExperiment with various space debris such as leftover weaponry and unusual space junk, and hunt for rare pieces of debris to help build and expand your Habitat including a militarized T-Rex Head complete with flame thrower!Physics based gameplay using weight, thrust, and zero gravity. Hundreds of building blocks for you to create and customize whatever you can think of. The game is lacking some of the old assets that it used to have and some of the old machanica no longer exist that coupled with the fact that some of the mechanics that were spoken about in the most resent update don't even work to begin with.. Between the buggy, non-existant controls, and the absurd spawning of enemies, this game is as close to unplayable as anything I've played. I was a Kickstarter backer of this game, and hoped that they would iron everything out...but the 1.0 launch dashed those hopes and it may as well be considered abandonware at this point.Abandon hope, all ye who enter here.. Beautiful, compelling, and entirely unique. It's come a long way, and it's only going to get better.. Still early access (today is July 9, 2014), so there's plenty of time, but for me this one misses the mark.I was looking forward to a game where you could patrol space picking up resources and then building things with them. That's not this game.Instead, this game is a wacky space comedy where you have to lash together floating cruise ships (how the hell does that happen) and mount a floating Statue of Liberty head that comes pre-fabed with lasers in her eyeballs to make an intrastellar battleship that you must send forth to attack unnamed incoming aliens. The joint system was on the fritz for me so some of my ships tore themselves to pieces and there's no plot to speak of yet. But then again, it's Early Access.I think they should have a hanger where you can build ships out of resources you recycle (metal, solar panels, plastic, etc) from the space crap and then send the ships out to do combat on their own. I should not have to control the ships and build their replacements all at the same time. I'm a simple man with simple thoughts.I'll reserve judgement, but it's not looking good. And in it's current state, I think you should wait.. Habitiat is actually the worst game I've ever played. Extremely buggy, abysmal controls. And the gameplay itself is just boring.. not being worked on anymore
